Over the centuries Jersey has had a rich maritime history.
During the 19th century boats, from the harbour at St. Aubin, fished the newly discovered fishing grounds off Newfoundland and boats were built on the beach at Grouville for the local oyster fishing industry.
The award-winning Maritime Museum combines modern interactive displays with exhibits that tell the story of Jersey’s maritime history.
Special exhibitions are held throughout the year and the adjoining bar/café has an outdoor seating area serving lunch and drinks all day.
Open all year round.
